[About the Role]
Join our dynamic manufacturing team in Orlando, FL as a Light Industrial Assembler, specializing in sub-assembly and rack assembly for advanced electromechanical systems. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals passionate about precision assembly, continuous improvement, and contributing to mission-critical products in industries like aerospace, defense, and high-end optics. Successful contractors may convert to permanent employment after 12 months, with regular milestone evaluations and clear pathways for advancement.

[Responsibilities]

- Assemble and wire power distribution load boxes, control/communication panels, joysticks, and related mechanical assemblies per blueprints, schematics, and BOMs
- Install LEDs, push buttons, switches, handles, and fasteners; perform mechanical joining using threaded fasteners, rivets, adhesives, and torque-controlled tools
- Integrate wiring harnesses, connectors, power distribution boards, and SSR modules, ensuring cable routing meets EMC guidelines
- Perform wire routing, dressing, stripping, and crimping with high workmanship standards
- Conduct functional and workmanship inspections, documenting results in work orders within the MRP system
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives such as 6S and Kaizen events
- Maintain safe work practices, reliable attendance, and a collaborative team environment

[Required Skills and Experience]

- 2+ years of hands-on assembly experience (aerospace, defense, industrial, or automotive sectors preferred)
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and BOMs
- Skilled in crimping, soldering, torque tools, and use of adhesives
- Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly techniques
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (6S/Kaizen)
- High school diploma required

[Preferred Skills]

- WHMA-A-620 training or certification with demonstrated Class 3 workmanship
- Current J-STD-001 certification
- Associate's degree or advanced safety/quality certifications (IPC 610, OSHA 10)
